Ranveer Singh Crosses ₹2000 Crore Globally with Dhurandhar 2 – Box Office Update
Ranveer Singh has surpassed the 2000 crore mark in global box office collections in the post-COVID era, driven by the success of his latest film, Dhurandhar 2. The actor, who experienced a period of fluctuating performance following the pandemic, has seen a significant resurgence with his recent releases, culminating in this milestone.
Prior to Dhurandhar 2, Singh’s post-COVID theatrical releases included 83 (184.36 crore), Jayeshbhai Jordaar (24.1 crore), Cirkus (39.6 crore), Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (348.89 crore) and Dhurandhar (1354.84 crore). These films collectively grossed 1951.79 crore worldwide. Dhurandhar 2, having earned 335.3 crore in just two days, pushed Singh past the 2000 crore threshold, bringing his total post-COVID global box office revenue to 2287.09 crore.
The success of Dhurandhar, released before the current film, was particularly noteworthy, generating 1354.84 crore globally. While Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also performed well with 348.89 crore, it was Dhurandhar that initially signaled a shift in Singh’s box office trajectory. Earlier releases, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Cirkus, garnered significantly lower returns.
Industry analysts predict that Dhurandhar 2 could potentially gross 1500 crore worldwide, which would elevate Singh’s total post-COVID earnings to over 3000 crore. This projection is based on the film’s positive reception and strong initial box office performance.
Dhurandhar 2 is a spy action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Aditya Dhar, Lokesh Dhar, and Jyoti Deshpande under the banners of B62 Studios and Jio Studios. The film features a cast including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
