Ramos Arizpe Health Clinics: Free Preventive Care Construction

Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, is making notable strides in establishing a network of community health clinics. This initiative aims to provide free preventive medical care directly to residents in need, prioritizing underserved areas. the municipal government is actively constructing these facilities, with two already underway in the Analco neighborhood and Plaza Pistaches. A third clinic is nearing finalization, solidifying a model of accessible healthcare with a strong social and human focus.

Mayor Tomás gutiérrez emphasized the administration’s commitment to community well-being, stating, “For years, peopel asked us for health centers that were really close, that they were not promises. Today they are seeing the works underway, and they will soon be working.We are building solutions, not speeches.” Each clinic is designed to serve up to 13,000 citizens, with beneficiaries identified through socio-economic studies to ensure equitable distribution of services.

The extensive care package offered at these clinics will include free general medical consultations, medication, dental care, and laboratory services, such as HIV testing. Specialized services like the distribution of corrective lenses and telemedicine consultations will also be available. The clinics are specifically equipped for preventive care, not for emergency situations.

These modern health facilities, funded by municipal resources, represent a crucial advancement toward a more equitable city. the project underscores a proactive governmental approach, developing in-house solutions to improve access to healthcare, irrespective of a resident’s location or income level.
