Ramblers Set to Compete at Virtues Intercollegiate
NASHPORT,Ohio – Loyola University Chicago men’s golf will travel to Ohio this week to participate in the Virtues Intercollegiate,hosted by miami (Ohio) and Bowling Green,beginning Friday,September 29th. The three-round tournament will be held at the par-72, 7,243-yard Virtues Golf Club, with an 8 a.m. CT shotgun start each day.
The Ramblers are looking to build momentum after a strong showing at the Highlands Invitational, where Sebastian Kasun led the team with a 15th-place finish. This tournament marks the start of a busy fall schedule for loyola, providing an meaningful opportunity to assess their performance against a competitive field including Western Kentucky, Evansville, Dayton, Youngstown State, Marshall, Detroit Mercy, miami (Ohio), Canisius, mercyhurst, Wright State, Ashland, Bowling Green, Butler, and Notre Dame.
Loyola’s lineup for the event includes Kasun,Dori Lee,Jackson Overton,Charlie Kulwin,and zach Mulhearn. Mulhearn will be making his season debut after a accomplished 2022-23 campaign that saw him record three top-25 finishes, highlighted by a fourth-place result at the Throw Down Up Top tournament with a score of -3.
kasun, who tied for 43rd at the Golfweek Challenge with an even score, will aim to continue his consistent play as the team’s anchor. Competition will conclude with the final round on saturday, September 30th.
