A multi-billion riyal aid package is being disbursed to eligible Saudi citizens, following a royal decree issued by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The directive, initiated upon the recommendation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, authorizes the immediate distribution of financial assistance to beneficiaries of the Citizen’s Account program, beginning as early as the 12th of Ramadan.
The total value of the royal grant exceeds 3 billion Saudi Riyals. Eligible families will receive 1,000 Riyals, with an additional 500 Riyals allocated for each dependent, according to announcements from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The funds are being deposited directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
The Ministry has outlined a phased disbursement schedule. Those who completed their data updates before the 10th of Ramadan will receive payments on the 12th of Ramadan. A second disbursement is scheduled for the 20th of Ramadan for those who updated their information after the 10th.
The Ministry emphasized that access to the aid is contingent upon completing the data update process through the designated platform. This measure is intended to ensure that support reaches those who are legitimately eligible, following a periodic verification of information.
The initiative is presented as a continuation of the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and improving the quality of life for citizens, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have consistently prioritized the needs of beneficiaries of the Citizen’s Account program, according to state media reports.
