The Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) is implementing innovative academic programs, including academies designed to provide young people with quicker pathways to employment, according to the university’s academic vice-rector.
Beyond enrollment costs and new initiatives, the core of the university experience lies in the teacher-student relationship, the vice-rector emphasized. This interaction is where knowledge acquisition and learning truly happen. However, for this process to be prosperous, educators must be receptive to understanding the evolving lives and needs of their students.
UCAB supports its faculty through a dedicated division that assists them in preparing to be effective teachers and in utilizing appropriate pedagogical tools. The vice-rector highlighted that teaching requires more than just knowledge; it involves a vocational calling and a commitment to nurturing students’ growth, describing it as a form of “delivery.”
