Puebla 2026: Access to Zero-Interest Loans for Businesses & Entrepreneurs

March 23, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

The municipal government of Puebla, Mexico, has launched “Tu Crédito Imparable 2026,” a program offering accessible financing options to entrepreneurs and small businesses, with interest rates starting at zero percent. The initiative, backed by a 20 million peso budget increase approved by Mayor Pepe Chedraui, aims to bolster local economic activity and job creation.

Three distinct credit schemes are available under the “Tu Crédito Imparable” umbrella. “Tu Crédito Mujer” is designed for groups of women entrepreneurs working collaboratively, offering loans ranging from 5,000 to 8,000 pesos with a repayment period of 16 weeks and no interest. Applicants must be between 21 and 75 years old, have a business operating for at least six months within the municipality of Puebla, and commit to saving 10 percent of the requested loan amount.

“Tu Crédito Individual” targets individual business owners with at least one year of operation within Puebla, a positive credit history, and an age between 21 and 75. This scheme provides loans from 10,000 to 70,000 pesos, disbursed in three consecutive cycles, with interest rates ranging from zero to a maximum of 3.5 percent monthly.

The third option, “Tu Negocio Sí Plus,” is available to individuals with formally established micro or small businesses operating within the municipality for a minimum of two years. This scheme offers loans up to 250,000 pesos, with repayment periods of 12 or 18 months, and interest rates ranging from 0% to 15% annually. Eligibility requires a valid RFC (Federal Taxpayer Registry) and a favorable credit rating. The application window for the 18-month scheme closes on April 30, 2026, while the 12-month scheme remains open until July 31, 2026.

Jaime Oropeza Casas, Secretary of Economy and Tourism, encouraged Puebla’s entrepreneurs and business owners to take advantage of the program to strengthen their operations and contribute to the local economy. The application portal, https://tucreditoimparable.pueblacapital.gob.mx/, will remain open until December 31, 2026, or until funds are exhausted.
