U.S.Ryder Cup Team Members Utilize Procore Championship Practice Rounds for Team dynamics
FORT WORTH, TX – Several members of the victorious U.S. Ryder Cup team are leveraging practice rounds at the Procore Championship to maintain momentum and cohesion following their recent triumph. Practice groupings this week at Colonial Country Club offer a glimpse into potential pairings and team strategies as players transition back to individual competition.
Ten of the twelve players who represented the U.S.at the Ryder Cup are competing in the PGA Tour’s fall opener.These practice rounds provide a valuable chance to informally continue the camaraderie and strategic discussions that fueled their success at marco simone Golf & Country Club. The event offers a unique setting for team members to assess their games and refine their approaches as they navigate the individual tour schedule.
Scottie Scheffler, Russell Henley, and J.J. Spaun played a practice round Tuesday and will begin the tournament grouped together for the first two rounds.Justin Thomas and Cameron Young also practiced together Tuesday, and will play with ben Griffin on Thursday and Friday. Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, and Gary Woodland, a U.S. ryder Cup vice captain, are also scheduled to play as a group.
Xander Schauffele is absent from the Procore Championship, remaining home in South Florida with his wife following the birth of their first child. Bryson DeChambeau is not participating as he is currently a member of LIV Golf and does not qualify for the PGA Tour event.
