Pro D2: Grenoble Players Train, Strike Threat Averted

by Alex Carter - Sports Editor

Grenoble’s Pro D2 match against Provence Rugby ⁢is set‌ to proceed despite a player‍ protest earlier this week. Players returned to training facilities Thursday‌ morning, participating ⁢in a meeting and weightlifting ⁣session in preparation for the Friday match.

The training resumption ‌follows a ⁢Tuesday walkout by the team, triggered by the suspension ‍of backs coach Nicolas Nadau. Nadau was reportedly sidelined following comments made regarding the match doctor during ⁣Grenoble’s September 24th match against Brive (24-21).The players’ refusal to train initially raised concerns about a potential strike impacting⁢ the Provence Rugby game. No players or staff are currently commenting on the situation.
