Prince Yriel & New Aeldari Corsair Rules – Warhammer 40K

Aeldari Corsairs, led by the returning Prince Yriel, are receiving substantial reinforcements and a renewed strategic focus within the Warhammer 40,000 universe, according to announcements made by Games Workshop on February 9th and 16th, 2026.

The centerpiece of this expansion is the “Eldritch Raiders Battleforce” box set, which will feature a newly sculpted miniature of Prince Yriel, alongside the debut of Corsair Skyreavers, Kharseth, a Void Dreamer, ten Corsair Voidscarred, and a new Vyper vehicle. The release is intended to bolster the Aeldari Corsair subfaction, offering players a more comprehensive and potent fighting force.

Prince Yriel’s miniature is described as holding his “legendary Spear of Twilight” and featuring decorative details, including optional helmeted and unhelmeted head options. The Skyreavers, equipped with jump packs, are intended to function as elite shock troops, specializing in close-range combat with corsair blades and a variety of special weapons. Kharseth, the Void Dreamer, introduces a mystical element to the Corsair forces.

The update also includes a refreshed design for the Vyper, bringing it in line with more contemporary Warhammer 40,000 aesthetics. The Eldritch Raiders Battleforce is designed to capitalize on the Aeldari Corsairs’ strengths on the battlefield, according to Warhammer Community, and will include new units, strategies, and gameplay mechanics.

Games Workshop’s reveal follows a period of anticipation fueled by circulating rumors, many of which have proven accurate. The company showcased sprues and options for the new models, signaling a significant investment in the Corsair faction. The new models are designed to emphasize the faction’s mobility and agility, allowing players to utilize terrain and outmaneuver opponents.

The Aeldari Corsairs are known for their swift and agile tactics, and the new update is designed to enhance these qualities. Players will have access to a range of new units, including jetbikes and warlocks, designed to work together seamlessly. The update also introduces new gameplay mechanics, allowing players to manipulate the battlefield using the Aeldari Corsairs’ unique abilities.

As of February 10th, 2026, Games Workshop has not announced a specific release date beyond stating the Eldritch Raiders Battleforce will release alongside the upcoming Warhammer Preview.
