Prince William did not respond to the questions as he continued his engagement with Saudi officials. Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace both issued statements on Monday addressing the renewed scrutiny. Kensington Palace stated William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, were “deeply concerned” by the continuing revelations and that their thoughts “remain focused on the victims.” Buckingham Palace indicated King Charles would “stand ready to support” UK police examining the claims regarding Prince Andrew and Epstein.

Thames Valley Police confirmed on Monday it is assessing the claims that Prince Andrew shared confidential reports from his time as the UK’s trade envoy with Epstein. The allegations raise questions about the purpose of the Royal Family’s public role and the integrity of its past engagements.
Whereas the Epstein scandal continues to dominate headlines in the UK, the palace is attempting to maintain focus on Prince William’s visit to Saudi Arabia. Official social media accounts have highlighted his meetings with Saudi leaders, including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and his engagement with young people, particularly girls involved in sports.
