Shortly after the initial advisory spread, authorities retracted the afternoon timeline. Police officials announced that the planned closure window was being postponed to late evening.

The state-run Road and Motorway Directorate clarified that the adjustments were necessary due to unforeseen engineering hurdles encountered over the weekend. Regional spokesperson Luděk Hubáček explained that the construction team working on the corridor could not complete the required overhead maneuvers within the original overnight schedule between Saturday and Sunday.

„Cranes must place the last piece of the girder more carefully, and this will require two short night closures from Sunday to Monday,“ Hubáček stated regarding the revised engineering requirements. Rather than a single afternoon shutdown, builders will close the Prague Ring Road for thirty minutes beginning at 11:00 PM, followed by a second brief closure at an unspecified time during the overnight hours.”

„The existing bridging did not allow for this, so completely new, technically compliant bridges will be built on the spot,“ Hubáček noted, detailing the long-term scope of the civil works. State transportation authorities previously advised that motorists should bypass the affected sector entirely by utilizing surrounding local roads while heavy machinery occupies the highway alignment.”
