Pragmata: Capcom’s New IP Receives Gold Master Certification – Release Date Confirmed
Capcom’s upcoming action-adventure game, Pragmata, has officially achieved gold status, signaling the completion of development and readiness for release. The announcement, made by Capcom and shared across official social media channels, comes after years of anticipation and delays for the fresh intellectual property.
The “gold” designation, a term originating from the practice of developers sending gold-colored discs to platform holders for final approval, indicates that the game is feature-complete and prepared for manufacturing and distribution. While the tradition of physical gold discs is largely a relic of the past, the term remains a standard industry marker. Capcom confirmed that this milestone suggests the release date is unlikely to shift again.
Pragmata follows the story of Hugh, a spacefarer, and his android companion, Diana, as they navigate a hostile lunar research station controlled by a rogue AI. Their mission: to find a way back to Earth. The game blends action, adventure, and a unique hacking mechanic, set in a near-future sci-fi environment.
The game is scheduled for release on April 17th, 2026, across Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms, according to Capcom.
