/ world today news/ BSP leader Cornelia Ninova has demanded the resignation of Georgi Gergov as a member of the BSP Executive Bureau this afternoon because of his mediation for an informal meeting between the chief prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov and businessman Sasho Donchev. “I requested the resignation of Georgi Gergov from the Executive Bureau of the BSP. He refused to submit it. Tomorrow I am convening the National Council and will raise the issue of the resignation. And if I lose the vote, I will leave with dignity,” she said. Ninova expects strong opposition to this proposal. “I bear responsibility for this and I take it with the full awareness of what will happen to me from tomorrow onwards. I know what I am up against,” said the BSP leader. According to her, the meeting in Georgi Gergov’s office was not regular from a political point of view.
“I respect the position of the chief prosecutor, which is specific – zero tolerance for any businessman who tries to put himself above the law and impose his interests,” Ninova said.
