Pokémon GO Kicks Off Halloween with Spooky Events & New Pokémon Appearances
Pokémon GO trainers can dive into the Halloween spirit this week with the start of halloween Part 1 and continued GO Chapter Fun events, running from October 20th to October 26th. These events introduce themed Pokémon encounters, special research tasks, and bonuses designed to enhance the gameplay experiance throughout the spooky season.
The “Tales of Conversion” season, ongoing until December 2nd, 2025, is bringing notable changes to Pokémon GO, including the debut of Mega Evolutions for Megalodon, Flamethrower, and Metagross, alongside super Mewtwo X and Y. Additionally, Gigantamax Dust Mountain and gigantic aluminum steel dragon are appearing in Max Team Battles, with Gigantamax Eevee also featured.The season also introduces a shift in Pokémon distribution, aligning appearances with real-world habitats and Pokédex data.
Halloween Part 1 (October 20 - October 26)
* Featured Pokémon: Trainers will encounter more Ghost- and Dark-type Pokémon in the wild, including Pumpkaboo and Ghouligan. Shiny versions of these Pokémon will be available.
* Special Research: A new Special Research storyline will be available, offering encounters with Mythical Pokémon.
* Bonuses: Trainers will receive double Candy for catching Pokémon and double XP for hatching Eggs.
GO Chapter Fun (Ongoing)
* Pokémon Spotlight Hours: Weekly Spotlight Hours continue, featuring increased spawns of specific Pokémon.
* Team GO Rocket: Increased Team GO Rocket activity and opportunities to battle Giovanni.
* Raids: Mega Raids featuring Mega Gengar are currently active.
