POC 2026 MTB Collection: New Helmets, Protection & Apparel Revealed
POC Unveils 2026 Mountain Bike Collection with Focus on Safety and Flexibility
Swedish protection brand POC has launched its 2026 mountain bike collection, featuring new innovations in helmets, protective gear, and apparel. The collection, unveiled this week, centers around the new Cularis Pure helmet and a revamped Motion apparel line, alongside advancements in impact protection technology.
A key element of the new lineup is the Cularis Pure helmet, designed to offer a balance of ventilation, lightweight construction, and protection. Inspired by the existing Cularis model, the Cularis Pure has achieved a five-star safety rating from Virginia Tech. POC utilized computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and airflow testing, techniques typically employed in road cycling helmet development, to optimize the Cularis Pure’s ventilation system for performance across varying speeds, and terrains.
Beyond the helmet, POC is introducing a new approach to knee and elbow protection with the patent-pending VPD Max technology. This system utilizes two independent layers of Visco-Elastic Polymer Dough (VPD), a material known for its impact absorption capabilities. Magnus Gustafsson, Hard Goods Director at POC, stated the VPD Max aims to “challenge the norm” and provide riders with optimized protection. The VPD Max joints are paired with an updated VPD Air Torso, which maintains a high level of protection while being lighter and more flexible than previous iterations.
The Motion collection, encompassing apparel for both men and women, emphasizes breathability and freedom of movement. Monica Lindstrom, Apparel Director at POC, explained the collection is designed with “highly breathable and technical fabrics perfectly suited to the high intensity and constant motion of mountain bike riding.” The line includes the Motion short sleeve jersey, crafted from 85% recycled materials, as well as new performance pants and shorts made from durable, recycled materials with a water-repellent finish.
Rounding out the 2026 collection is the Devour Mid eyewear, a smaller version of the popular Devour model. Designed for mountain biking, gravel riding, and road cycling, the Devour Mid features Clarity lens technology developed in partnership with Carl Zeiss, offering enhanced vision and coverage. The lenses are easily interchangeable to adapt to changing light conditions, and the eyewear is fully adjustable for a secure fit.
The entire 2026 mountain bike collection is currently available for purchase.
