Plouigneau Welcomes New Doctor, Expanding Local Healthcare Access

PLOUIGNEAU, FINISTÈRE – Plouigneau will soon have an additional physician practicing within the community, as Dr. Claire Hérault is set ⁤to join the medical cabinet of Dr. Marine Réale. The arrangement, approved during a recent town council meeting, will see Doctors Le Saout and Réale sublet office space to Dr. Hérault​ until the end of⁤ their ⁢current lease.

This ⁤collaboration aims to address local healthcare needs ​following the departure of Dr.Le Coquil, ensuring ⁣continued medical⁤ services for Plouigneau residents. The move underscores the ongoing efforts to maintain accessible ​healthcare in the Morlaix Community area.

In other business, the‍ town council approved a 1.50% increase in rental rates for municipal halls, bringing the quarterly cost for regular weekly use to €110.84, and €16.63 for punctual use, effective September 1st.Additionally, the council authorized the acquisition of approximately ⁢350 square⁣ meters of land in Pors an Doas from the Notre-Dame association and the OGEC of the Sainte-Marie school at a price of €30 per square meter, to facilitate a planned 17-lot subdivision.⁢ The⁤ council also unanimously approved the selection of seven companies for the upcoming urban heat network project, powered by a wood boiler, and⁤ reviewed reports on energy efficiency initiatives and local water policy through the agency, An Dour.
