PlayStation Plus Game Catalog October 2026: Mafia The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West Added

PlayStation Plus subscribers will gain access to a lineup headlined by cinematic action-adventure games in October 2026, featuring recent releases and classic titles across Extra and Premium tiers, as Sony confirmed on October 14, 2026, according to Headliner.nl.

Mafia Prequel and Horizon Sequel Anchor Mid-Month Drop

The October catalog additions roll out across multiple dates, with the major software arriving on October 20, 2026. The highlight of the mid-month batch is Mafia: The Old Country for the PlayStation 5, a narrative-driven prequel that originally launched in August 2025, according to Gameliner.

Alongside the mafia prequel, Sony introduces Horizon Forbidden West for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. IGN Benelux notes that Guerrilla’s open-world action-RPG sequel holds a high critical standing.

Cooperative Loter-Shooter Makes Console Debut

The mid-month update also brings Mycopunk to the PlayStation 5 on October 20.

Notebookcheck.nl reports that the cooperative looter-shooter leaves PC early access—where it has resided since July 10, 2025—to launch fully on Sony’s console alongside its inclusion in the subscription service. The title tasks four-player teams with battling fungus-infected alien hordes using custom modular weapon builds.

Classic Horror and Management Titles for Premium Members

PlayStation Plus Premium members receive classic titles on October 20, specifically Capcom’s survival horror game Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition, both playable on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 as detailed by IGN Benelux.

Final October Releases Include Poppy Playtime and Tales of Arise

The release schedule concludes on October 27 with three final additions: Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition for both platforms, and Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The Official Video Game for PlayStation 5.

Earlier in the month, The Midnight Walk arrived as a day-one addition on the PlayStation 5. Alongside the software catalog, Sony’s October promotion includes seasonal Game Trials, HorrorFest Packs, a Dead by Daylight community challenge bundle, and discounts on select horror films.
