Lorwyn-Shadowmoor exists as two sides of the same coin: a vibrant, fairytale-like realm and its corrupted, nightmarish counterpart. The Auramancers, deeply connected to the land, wield elemental magic and command the natural world.

However, a journey into Shadowmoor transforms a Changeling into a Mimic – a malicious entity that assumes the forms of loved ones to inflict devastating loss.Since oona’s downfall, Changelings remain in Lorwyn unless forcibly driven into Shadowmoor.
Lorwyn-Shadowmoor also harbors a host of other creatures, including noggles, bogles, ouphes, duergars, hags, imps, and trolls, most commonly found within the depths of Shadowmoor. the recent emergence of Eirdu and Isilu has heralded the arrival of firdoch, stone creatures who serve the plane’s elemental guardians, shaping the boundaries between Lorwyn and Shadowmoor through ritualistic wrestling.
