Kaiser Permanente Adds On-Call Physician Assistant to San Jose Oncology Team
SAN JOSE, CA - Kaiser Permanente is expanding it’s oncology support at San Jose Medical Center wiht an immediate opening for an on-call Physician Assistant. The position, a regular, non-union role, aims to bolster patient care within the hospital’s oncology department.
This recruitment comes as healthcare systems nationwide navigate increasing demands for specialized cancer treatment. The addition of an on-call PA will provide crucial coverage and support to the existing oncology team, ensuring timely access to care for patients in the San Jose area. The role is an individual contributor position, and Kaiser Permanente emphasizes its commitment to pay equity, with the posted hourly rate ranging from $70.76 to $91.54. Final compensation will be determined based on experience,education,skills,and location,alongside internal equity reviews.
The on-call Physician Assistant will be expected to work at a Kaiser Permanente designated on-site location – either an office, medical building, or the hospital itself – and must comply with the institution’s Authorized States policy regarding worker location. The position does not require travel.
