netflix’s “Physical: Asia” to Premiere in October with Manny Pacquiao Headlining Team Philippines
SEOUL – Netflix Korea announced today a lineup of prominent figures from across Asia for its new competition series, Physical: Asia, a nation-versus-nation extension of teh hit Physical franchise. The show will pit 48 contestants from eight countries – Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Mongolia, the Philippines, South korea, Thailand, and Turkey – against each other in challenges testing strength, strategy, and teamwork.
Each national team will be captained by a well-known celebrity. Leading Team philippines is boxing icon Manny Pacquiao. Other team leaders include UFC pioneer Kim Dong-hyun (South Korea),mixed martial artist Yushin Okami (Japan),former UFC middleweight champion Robert “The Reaper” Whittaker (Australia),muay thai world champion Superbon (Thailand),traditional wrestling star Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan (Mongolia),and four-time oil wrestling champion Recep Kara (Turkey).
Team Korea also boasts Olympic gold medallist Yun Sung-bin and Physical: 100 Season 2 winner Amotti. Team Indonesia is represented by Igede Dharma susila,known as “Igedz Executioner.”
physical: Asia builds upon the success of the original Physical seasons, which debuted in 2023 and 2024. The series premieres on netflix in October.
