Phone Scams: Loans, Health Insurance & Car Warranties – FCC Crackdown

Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is bolstering financial support for businesses affected by U.S. Tariffs, while simultaneously emphasizing online services for loan management and offering wellness resources for those in the agriculture sector.

The financial support initiative directly addresses the impact of tariffs on Canadian businesses, though specific details of the support packages were not immediately available. FCC is also promoting its online services, allowing borrowers to manage loans, payments and transfers remotely. This push for digital accessibility includes features for reviewing loan balances, viewing statements, and managing account preferences.

Alongside financial and logistical support, FCC is also focusing on the well-being of those working in agriculture. The organization’s AgExpert Wellness program offers resources for mental health management. A winter 2026 edition of AgriSuccess promises to deliver guidance on mastering financial statements in under 90 minutes, and aims to reignite productivity within the Canadian agricultural landscape.

FCC’s commitment extends to various facets of the Canadian food system, offering financing for primary producers, agribusinesses, and companies within the food and beverage industry. The organization highlights its dedication to being “100% invested in Canadian agriculture and food.”

Separately, Securian Canada and Sun Life offer creditor insurance through FCC loans. According to documentation, applicants for insurance must answer health questions, with applications of $500,000 or less automatically approved if the applicant answers “No” to the first health question. The documentation specifies that each insurance applicant must answer both health questions on the application.

The FCC also noted a milestone reached by the Oregon Health Network in upgrades funded by the FCC’s Rural Health Care Pilot Program, though the relevance to Canadian operations was not specified.
