Philadelphia Union Win Probability: Chicago Match Prediction #cf97

Chester, PA – The Chicago Fire FC defeated the Philadelphia Union 2-1 Saturday afternoon at Subaru Park, extending the Union’s losing streak to start the 2026 MLS season to five games. Hugo Cuypers scored in the first half stoppage time, and Jonathan Bamba added a goal in the 58th minute to secure the victory for Chicago.

Milan Iloski equalized for Philadelphia shortly after Cuypers’ opening goal, but the Union were unable to uncover a second to overcome the Fire’s lead. The match was played before an attendance of 18,753.

Cuypers opened the scoring in the 45+3rd minute, assisted by Andrew Gutman. Iloski responded just four minutes later, capitalizing on assists from Alejandro Bedoya and Frankie Westfield. Bamba’s decisive goal came in the 58th minute, with Lod providing the assist.

The match saw a series of cautions issued by referee Nabil Bensalah. Robin Lod and Dje D’Avilla of Chicago received yellow cards in the 8th and 23rd minutes, respectively. For Philadelphia, Philippe Ndinga was cautioned in the 37th minute, and Viktor Radojević received a yellow card in the 87th minute whereas playing for Chicago.

Philadelphia Union forward Milan Iloski scored his first MLS goal of the season during the match. The Union also saw their young talent, Malik Jakupovic, make his MLS debut as a substitute.

Philadelphia will travel to Bank of America Stadium to face Charlotte FC on Saturday, April 4th at 7:30 p.m. ET, broadcast on Apple TV. The Union are currently 0-4-0 with 0 points, placing them 15th in the Eastern Conference. Chicago Fire FC improved to 1-1-2 with 4 points.
