Peter White Library: Donate Books for Winter Sale | 2026

by Priya Shah – Business Editor

The Peter White Public Library in Marquette, Michigan, is currently accepting donations of gently used books and media as it prepares for its annual Winter Used Book & Media Sale. The call for donations, initially announced on January 30, 2026, was reiterated on February 10, 2026, as library officials seek to bolster inventory for the event.

Donations can be dropped off at the Circulation Desk, located on the main floor of the library at 217 N Front Street. Library staff are hoping for a strong response from the community to support the sale, which is a key fundraising event for library programming.

The Friends of PWPL, the volunteer organization coordinating the sale, announced the event will take place March 12-14, 2026. Proceeds from the sale will directly benefit the library’s cultural and educational initiatives. The library’s winter reading program for youth, running through February 28, 2026, is one of the programs supported by funds raised through events like the book sale.

The Peter White Public Library also announced it is currently accepting applications for its 2027 Public Gallery Program, offering artists an opportunity to showcase their work. The library recently hosted a performance of Stephen King’s “Misery” in partnership with Iron Arts Theatre.
