Personal Loans & Credit Cards: Apply & Access Funds Easily
Consumers Credit Union is now offering personal credit options with streamlined access, allowing customers to select loan amounts and terms directly through their accounts, and cards. The initiative, launched in early 2026, aims to simplify the borrowing process for individuals, including those with an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) as well as those with a Social Security Number.
The credit union’s offerings include the Consumers Cash Back Mastercard®, which provides a 1.50% cash back reward on all purchases with no annual fee. Latest cardholders who spend $1,500 within the first 90 days of opening an account after January 1, 2026, will receive an additional $150 cash back bonus. The card also features instant issuance at branch locations, online account management with card controls, and Mastercard ID Theft Protection™. Consumers Credit Union emphasizes the employ of 85% recycled plastic in the manufacturing of their cards as part of a sustainability initiative.
In addition to the cash back option, Consumers Credit Union offers a Low Rate Mastercard® designed for customers prioritizing lower interest rates. PNC Bank also provides a range of personal credit card options, focusing on benefits like cash rewards and reduced APRs, according to their website. Chase also offers credit card services, alongside mortgages, banking, and investment planning.
Banamex is currently promoting personal loans with fixed rates up to $750,000, targeting needs such as auto repairs, travel expenses, and home down payments. Consumers Credit Union’s personal credit options are similarly flexible, allowing funds to be used for a variety of purposes.
