Paulinho: Portugal’s Best Striker for the World Cup?
Grupo Frontera has released a new official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, titled “Un Solo Corazón,” aiming to unite fans of the Mexican national team worldwide. The song premiered at an event in Mexico City, backed by Apple Music and the Mexican Football Federation.
“We thought about it for the national team, for the players and the Mexican fans. We were with the players of the Mexican national team, they listened to the song before it came out and they were dancing and seeing what it was about,” vocalist Adelaido ‘Payo’ Solís told EFE.
The chorus, “Dale, dale, Selección, que toda tu gente hoy te quiere ver campeón,” (Go, go, Selección, that all your people today want to see you champion) is intended to rally support for the team. Grupo Frontera, a band gaining international recognition in the regional Mexican music scene, is now listed among the top 50 most-listened-to artists globally, according to the report from EFE, suggesting the song has the potential for widespread appeal, particularly in the United States and other Spanish-speaking countries.

The song, three minutes in length, has already received support from players within the national team, including América club and national team player Israel Reyes, who has been noted for his vocal talents. The Mexican Football Federation has also promoted the song through its social media channels, labeling it “the song that Grupo Frontera made for our Selección.”
Mexico is scheduled to begin its World Cup campaign on June 11 against South Africa at the Estadio Azteca, followed by a match against South Korea in Guadalajara a week later, and a final group stage game against a yet-to-be-determined European opponent in Mexico City.
