Paris Fashion Week SS27 Most Impactful on Record, Lefty Data Shows
Paris Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2027 generated a record-breaking $795.6 million in Earned Media Value—a 59 percent increase year-over-year—across nine days and more than 100 shows, according to data from Lefty.
The event mixed high-profile entertainment and star presence with artistic presentations, literature, and grassroots activism. Lefty reported that the milestone made the Parisian showcase the most visible Fashion Week ever recorded on its platform, significantly outpacing other global fashion capitals.
Dior and Thai Fandoms Drive Record Visibility
Brands anchored their success in multifaceted strategies combining high-impact talent, striking show sets, and artisanal craftsmanship. Dior alone generated 20 percent of the entire week’s visibility, nearly tripling its Earned Media Value compared to previous seasons, Lefty reported. The French house achieved this largely through its ongoing partnership with Thai stars Lingling Kwong and Orm Kornnaphat.
The two Thai stars published a combined 36 posts for Dior, generating over $200M EMV in Earned Media Value between them—accounting for roughly two-thirds of the brand’s total media impact. Instagram coverage extended beyond official channels as well. Orm’s mother shared behind-the-scenes content that brought fans closer to the experience, pulling in $8.9M EMV in Earned Media Value for the brand.
Schiaparelli entered the top five brands for the first time, reaching 63M in Earned Media Value. The brand’s rise was fueled by increased visibility from Thai actors Namping Napatsakorn Pingmuang and Keng Harit Buayoi, who sat alongside pop star Tate McRae.
Other major houses maintained strong positions despite mixed year-over-year adjustments. Chanel generated 57M in Earned Media Value, bolstered by viral moments on the runway and TikTok. Miu Miu reached 46M, Louis Vuitton recorded 38M, and Saint Laurent brought in 36M. Valentino, Celine, Tom Ford, Loewe, and Louboutin rounded out the tracked brand performance metrics for the season.

Brands Integrate Cultural Commentary into Fashion Presentations
Beyond raw digital reach, several presentations integrated cultural commentary and public participation into their formats. Valentino staged its show with commentary by Jack Edwards, which flooded social feeds with book recommendations rather than traditional runway coverage alone.
Matières Fécales dedicated its presentation to the 99 percent. Staged on the Place de la République—a square closely associated with protest in Paris—the brand cast 99 models of colour drawn largely from the designers’ personal community. A surprise appearance by Rihanna at Lyas’s La Watch Party helped drive a 795 percent year-over-year growth in Earned Media Value for the label.
Long-form editorial coverage also shifted toward independent commentators and Substack writers, including Violet Grace Atkinson and Julia Berolzheimer at Stella McCartney, alongside British commentator Chani Ra at Chanel. Meanwhile, labels such as The Row and Hermès pursued quieter strategies, banning phones and keeping guest lists minimal.
On Weibo, Paris brands achieved nearly 2.7 times the visibility of Milan Fashion Week. Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat took over Dior’s official Weibo account, generating $20M in Earned Media Value. While western fashion weeks relied heavily on large rosters of celebrities, the Chinese platform favored targeted appearances by individual stars, with Hot Topics drawing more than 128M engagements centered squarely on the collections.
