Khuzdar School Bus Attack: Death Toll Climbs to 10
The aftermath of the devastating suicide attack on an Army Public School (APS) bus in Khuzdar continues to unfold with tragic consequences. Officials confirmed Sunday that another student succumbed to injuries sustained in the blast, raising the total number of fatalities to 10.
The Latest Loss
Sheema Ibrahim, daughter of a Levies official, had been receiving intensive care at the Combined military Hospital (CMH) Quetta. Despite the medical teamS efforts, she died from her injuries, marking a somber addition to the list of victims.
Victims of the Attack
The casualties now include eight APS students – seven girls and one boy – and two adults. the initial explosion claimed the lives of three students at the scene: Saniya Soomro, a sixth-grader; Hafza Kausar, a seventh-grader; and Ayesha Saleem, a tenth-grader. In the days following the attack, Haider, Malaika, and sehr Saleem also died while undergoing treatment. Authorities are still working to identify one additional student victim.
Allegations of Foreign Involvement
Security officials have strongly condemned the attack,pointing fingers at external forces.Eight innocent lives have fallen victim to India’s campaign of terrorism within Pakistan,
a senior security official stated, alleging foreign involvement in the targeting of schoolchildren.
