The BBC has postponed the airing of “Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home,” a documentary chronicling the final three years of the musician’s life [[1]]. Originally scheduled for August 18th, the film was removed from the schedule at the request of the Osbourne family [[3]].
The BBC stated, “Our sympathies are with the Osbourne family at this difficult time. We are respecting the family’s wishes to wait a bit longer before airing this very special film. The new transmission date will be confirmed shortly.” [[1]]. The documentary, which runs for 60 minutes [[2]], provides intimate access to Ozzy, Sharon, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne [[1]].
Initially conceived as a ten-part series titled “Home to Roost,” the project evolved into a single film as Ozzy Osbourne’s health declined [[2]]. The documentary follows the family’s return to the UK and Ozzy’s farewell concert, and was completed shortly before his death in July 2025 [[2]]. The BBC previously described the film as a “moving and inspirational account of the last chapter of Ozzy’s life” [[3]].
