Charli XCX, Rüfüs Du Sol, and The Strokes will headline the 18th annual Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival, organizers announced Tuesday. The festival, a major cultural event for San Francisco, will take place in Golden Gate Park from August 7 through August 9.
Nearly 90 acts are scheduled to perform, including The xx, Baby Keem, Turnstile, Dijon, Death Cab for Cutie, Glorilla, Ethel Cain, Clipse, Wet Leg, and Modest Mouse, according to a press statement from Outside Lands co-founder Allen Scott. “Every year, we strive to deliver a lineup that excites and surprises—letting fans see their favorites even as discovering novel music,” Scott said. “The experience at Outside Lands is just as much about unexpected moments and fresh discoveries as it is about our incredible headliners.”
The festival’s lineup also features Mariah the Scientist, Tinashe, Lucy Dacus, and Yard Act, among others. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie previewed some of the performers on Instagram Monday, naming Balu Brigada, Sierra Ferrell, Disco Lines, Malcolm Todd, Snow Strippers, Destin Conrad, and others.
Tickets go on sale with a loyalty presale and a Chase cardholder presale beginning at noon on Tuesday, March 3. General admission tickets will be available starting at noon on Thursday, March 5. Outside Lands draws over 200,000 attendees to Golden Gate Park each year, establishing itself as a significant musical event for the city.
Organizers noted the lineup is subject to change. A detailed performance schedule with dates and times will be released closer to the event.
