Olentangy Orange girls soccer staff on leave after alleged hazing
All coaching staff for the Olentangy Orange High School girls’ soccer team have been placed on administrative leave, and several high school seniors have been kicked off the team following an alleged hazing incident, dispatch.com reported on October 2, 2026. Olentangy School Superintendent Todd Meyer announced the disciplinary actions in a prepared statement issued late Thursday afternoon as the district opened an immediate investigation into the matter.
District officials first learned of the incident on Sept. 16, when a teacher alerted administration to rumors regarding team activities over the summer.
Teacher Alert Uncovers Summer Team Rituals
According to Meyer, no student, parent, or community member reported the hazing prior to the teacher’s notification. The superintendent condemned the actions in his statement, noting that the activity appeared to be planned in advance by players and took place in the driveway of a district parent’s home without anyone intervening or reporting it.
Graphic Footage Reveals Coerced Acts and Restraints
Videos of the incident reviewed by dispatch.com show multiple high school seniors forcing younger teammates to remove their pants and wear adult-sized diapers.
The footage also shows players with their wrists zip-tied, arms wrapped to their chests with plastic wrap, diapers secured on their heads, and goggles covered in duct tape over their eyes. Additional details from the source material reveal that younger team members were force-fed raw hot dogs and sardines, piled into vehicles, driven around town, and sprayed with Silly String, shaving cream, and glitter while facing sexually explicit questioning from senior players.

District Removes Coaching Staff and Players over Hazing
“We want to be clear that we have zero tolerance for hazing within our schools,” Meyer said in the district’s prepared statement regarding the ongoing investigation and the removal of the coaching staff and involved players.
