Coeur d’Alene Transforms into Bavarian Village for Oktoberfest Celebration
COEUR D’ALENE,Idaho – Downtown Coeur d’alene will be brimming with beer,music,and German traditions this weekend as the annual Oktoberfest celebration kicks off Friday. The two-day festival promises a lively atmosphere with over 30 craft beer, cider, and seltzer options, alongside conventional German fare and entertainment.
Oktoberfest provides a important economic boost to downtown businesses, drawing crowds and showcasing the region’s vibrant community spirit. The event offers residents and visitors alike a unique cultural experience, fostering a sense of camaraderie and festive cheer. This year’s festivities build on the success of previous years, continuing to establish Coeur d’Alene as a premier destination for seasonal events.
The celebration unfolds from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and noon to 8 p.m. saturday, transforming the downtown core into a Bavarian village. Attendees can explore pop-up pubs within more than 20 local businesses, each offering a curated selection of beverages and snacks.
Two dedicated biergartens will anchor the festivities. The No-Li Biergarten, located at rotary Centennial Park (316 sherman Ave.), will feature a ceremonial keg tapping on Friday, followed by stein-holding contests, live DJ sets, and German cuisine from Rustic and Crown and Thistle.
The Bier Haus Prostgarten, situated on Lakeside Avenue behind Bier Haus, will host the STCU Stage, showcasing headliners like the Heather King Band and the Rhythm Dogs. Saturday’s opening will include a keg tapping by Bayern Brewing, alongside games, contests, and food from Bier Haus.
Tickets, starting at $25, include commemorative glassware, beer tasting tickets, and full access to entertainment.
