OKC & Spurs Streaking, Wemby Wows: NBA Daily Updates & Tonight’s Games

March 24, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor Sport

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams returned to the court Monday night, scoring 18 points in a 123-103 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, marking the Thunder’s 12th consecutive win. The win extends OKC’s current streak and solidifies their position atop the Western Conference.

Williams, who had been sidelined twice this season with hamstring strains, showed no signs of rust in his first game since February 11th, adding 4 rebounds and 6 assists to his scoring total. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributed 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, but did not play in the fourth quarter as the Thunder cruised to victory. VJ Edgecombe led the 76ers with 35 points and 7 three-pointers.

The Thunder’s winning streak is the second of at least 12 games this season, a testament to their consistent performance. During this current run, the team has held opponents to an average of 104.8 points per game and has secured three consecutive 20-point victories. This season marks the 22nd time the Thunder have won a game by 20 or more points, tying a franchise record.

Elsewhere in the league, the San Antonio Spurs continued their impressive run, securing their sixth consecutive win with a 136-111 victory over the Miami Heat. Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with a dominant performance, recording 26 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 blocks. Rookies Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle also contributed significantly, with Harper scoring 21 points and Castle adding 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.

The Spurs’ success has been fueled by a team-first approach, with seven players averaging double-digit points and none averaging more than 9 field goal attempts. Wembanyama highlighted the team’s unselfishness, stating, “We gain along super well on and off the court, and we see the results.”

The Detroit Pistons upset the Los Angeles Lakers 113-110, handing the Lakers just their seventh clutch loss of the season. With Cade Cunningham sidelined due to illness, Daniss Jenkins stepped up, scoring a career-high 30 points, including a go-ahead stepback jumper with 25 seconds remaining and a pair of free throws to seal the victory. Luka Dončić led the Lakers with 32 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, but his late-game attempt fell short.

In other Monday night action, the Chicago Bulls defeated the Houston Rockets 132-124, the Indiana Pacers edged the Orlando Magic 128-126, the Atlanta Hawks routed the Memphis Grizzlies 146-107, and the Toronto Raptors topped the Utah Jazz 143-127.

Tonight’s NBA schedule features a matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic at 8 PM ET, and a Western Conference showdown between the Denver Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns at 8 PM PT.

The New York Knicks, riding a six-game winning streak, will host the New Orleans Pelicans tonight, looking to close the gap on the Boston Celtics for second place in the Eastern Conference.
