Ohio University’s Dual MBA/MSA Program Crowned #1 in 2025 SportBusiness Rankings
Ohio University’s dual MBA/MSA Sports Management Program has achieved the top overall ranking in the 2025 SportBusiness Postgraduate Course Rankings, solidifying its position as a leading program in sports education. This success extends to the university’s Online Master of Sports Administration course, which also secured first place in the online rankings.
The program, housed within Ohio University’s Collage of Business in Athens, Ohio, has a distinguished history dating back to 1966. This year’s ranking represents a significant leap forward, rising two places from its third-place finish in the 2024 edition – the only instance the program has fallen outside the top two.
The two-year program combines a one-year MBA followed by a master of Sports Administration (MSA). Students benefit from “Graduate Assistantships,” providing practical experience with a commitment of 10 hours per week during the MBA year and 20 hours per week during the MSA year. The program typically maintains a cohort of up to 35 students, with the 2024-25 cohort consisting of 30, supported by 11 full-time staff.
