Plans for an NSYNC biopic have been put on hold as the group prioritizes potential reunion tour opportunities, sources confirm. The project, initially discussed wiht all five members last August, stalled due to differing management and Justin Timberlake’s lack of engagement.
The possibility of a film documenting the boy band’s rise to fame surfaced earlier this year, with *The Hollywood Reporter first reporting on preliminary discussions in January. However, negotiations proved arduous, and the band’s commitment to a full group effort-including a potential tour-has taken precedence. A massive stadium tour deal from Live Nation and AEG was presented to the group in August 2023, but Timberlake did not participate in further conversations.
According to sources, the band operates under an “all or nothing” principle, meaning a biopic will remain shelved unless all members agree to participate and a reunion tour is solidified. The group’s focus remains on a collective decision regarding future projects, effectively pausing development of the film for the foreseeable future.
