Renate Reinsve Confirms Relationship After Months of Speculation
For months,rumors have swirled around Norwegian actress Renate Reinsve (37) and director Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel (34),son of Linn Ullmann and grandson of cinematic legends Liv Ullmann and Ingmar Bergman. Now, Reinsve has subtly confirmed she is in a relationship.Speculation began after the pair collaborated on the film “Armand.” They have been seen together at events, and have spoken fondly of each other in interviews. Last summer, Aftenposten reported that they were spotted holding hands at the Øya festival in Oslo, and “Good Morning Norway” directly questioned them about a potential romance, but received no confirmation.
In a January interview with Vogue Scandinavia, the two discussed their close working relationship and undeniable chemistry, but stopped short of confirming a romantic connection. the magazine dubbed them Norway’s new “IT pair,” but both remained tight-lipped.
The confirmation finally came in a recent interview with Norwegian ELLE magazine. When asked about her at-home attire, Reinsve revealed, “Morning coat and slippers. I love to change to it when I get home. But it’s very usexy, so if my boyfriend comes to visit, I’m upgrading to jogging. I bought a new cool jogging suit from Adidas.”
While the ELLE interview doesn’t explicitly name Tøndel,NRK reported on Saturday that Tøndel is Reinsve’s boyfriend.
Dagbladet has reached out to Reinsve and Tøndel for comment but has not yet received a response.
Adding fuel to the fire, the couple was reportedly seen holding hands as they returned from the French Riviera on Sunday.
