Noises Off Auditions in Monroe, GA – Feb 25 & 28, 2026

Monroe, GA – On Stage Playhouse, a community theater serving Monroe and Walton County, will hold auditions for its upcoming production of Michael Frayn’s comedy, Noises Off, on February 25 and February 28.

Auditions will take place at the Playhouse, located at 215 High School Avenue in Monroe. The February 25 session will run from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, while the February 28 session is scheduled from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Actors are encouraged to attend any time during the designated audition windows.

The theater is seeking actors of all ethnicities aged 16 and up. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and no prepared material is required. All roles are volunteer positions and are unpaid, according to the theater.

Noises Off, often described as one of the greatest farces ever written, centers on a theatre company struggling to mount a production amidst backstage chaos and onstage mishaps. The play is directed by Marc Hammes and Jake Strength. Performances are scheduled for April 24, 25, May 1, 2, 8, and 9, 2026, at 8:00 PM, with matinee performances on May 3 and May 10 at 2:00 PM, and a special performance on May 5 at 7:30 PM.

Tickets will proceed on sale online and at Carmichael’s in Monroe on April 10, 2026. General admission is $20, with a “Ten-Dollar Tuesday” discount for the May 5 performance. Cash or check will be accepted at Carmichael Drug, while credit cards will be required for online purchases. Online ticket sales will conclude one hour before each performance, with any remaining tickets sold at the door.

Rehearsals are scheduled to begin on March 10, following a read-through on March 5. Rehearsals will generally be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with some Wednesday rehearsals, and on Saturdays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The production requires a commitment with no absences permitted during tech week, April 13-24. Nine actors are needed, and performers may be cast in multiple roles. The roles of Dotty Otley/Mrs. Clacket are among those being cast.
