Noah Hawley’s ‘Alien: Earth’ Renewed; Massive Deal With Disney Entertainment Television

‘Alien: Earth‘ Renewed⁢ For Season 2 as Noah Hawley Extends Deal ​with DisneyEntertainment Television

FX’s ‘Alien: Earth’ has been renewed for ​a second season, concurrent⁢ with⁤ an expanded overall‍ deal between creator Noah Hawley and Disney Entertainment​ Television. ⁤The renewal signals confidence in the series, a prequel to Ridley Scott’s⁣ 1979 film Alien, which premiered on FX‌ in February 2024.

The series stars Sydney Chandler and features an expansive ensemble cast including Alex Lawther,Timothy Olyphant,Essie Davis,Samuel Blenkin,Babou Ceesay,David ⁢Rysdahl,Adrian Edmondson,Adarsh Gourav,Jonathan⁤ Ajayi,Erana James,Lily Newmark,Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El.

Hawley will continue to serve as creator and ⁢executive producer. Scott, david W.‍ Zucker, Clayton Krueger, ⁤Emilia ‍Serrano, Bob ‌DeLaurentis, Peter Calloway, Monica Macer, john Campisi ⁣and Simon⁣ Emanuel ‍also serve as‌ executive‌ producers.‌ Alien: Earth is ⁢produced by FX Productions.

Disney Television Studios & Global Original television Strategy President Eric Schrier​ lauded Hawley’s talent, noting a accomplished prior collaboration on Fargo at FX.⁣ “I​ learned first-hand that Noah was a unique ‌talent while we worked on Fargo at ⁤FX. He has gone on⁣ to make many‌ of the ⁣best shows in ⁤television, and I couldn’t be more excited that‍ Noah ​will continue ⁣his FX partnership and ‌broaden it ⁣across Disney ‌Entertainment​ Television.”

Hawley’s relationship with FX began with the 2014 premiere of Fargo, which ⁤has as garnered seven Emmy Awards (including Outstanding Miniseries)‌ from 70 nominations, three Golden Globe Awards (including Best Miniseries) ‌from 14 nominations, two AFI ⁤Awards,‌ and a Peabody Award. The ‍series ‌maintains an average ​Rotten Tomatoes critic score⁤ of 93% and a Metacritic score of 84. His⁤ drama Legion averaged‍ a 91% Rotten Tomatoes score over it’s three seasons.
