Niki Gallusz & Tamás Gajdos: Ready for ‘Duet’ Comeback After Close Call

Budapest – Gallusz Niki and Gajdos Tamás are preparing for Sunday’s live show of A Nagy Duett with renewed determination after narrowly avoiding elimination in the competition’s first round, according to reports in Hungarian media.

The pair found themselves in the danger zone following their initial performance, a situation Niki described as deeply unsettling. “I was nervous… I couldn’t sleep for three hours and then I pigged out, eating Nutella toast at night,” she revealed in a TV2 interview. “That moment with Lajcsi [Galambos Lajos] on stage, when only four couples remained, was really hard to imagine…”

The pressure of potential elimination proved particularly difficult for the duo, as highlighted by Blikk. Both performers acknowledged the emotional toll of the experience. Gajdos Tamás, while admitting the final moments were challenging, emphasized the importance of focusing on the positive. “Difficult moments were at the end. But I say, let’s look at the positive side of things, because contrary to all rumors, I am now full of self-confidence, after the first performance. I trust in a successful continuation,” he stated, according to Blikk.

Gallusz Niki too suggested that their initial performance, while enjoyed by them, may have been too unconventional. “Maybe we bit off more than we could chew the first time,” she said, as reported by Index.hu. Despite this, the pair are committed to improving their chances in the next round.

Both Gallusz Niki and Gajdos Tamás are now focused on avoiding the danger zone in the upcoming show and proving their place in the competition, according to Origo.hu. They are preparing for Sunday’s performance with the aim of demonstrating their ability to adapt and deliver a stronger performance.
