Nic Nemeth Expresses Outrage Over NXT Talent Holding TNA World Championship
Nashville, TN – Former TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth publicly voiced his strong disapproval of the current TNA World Championship situation, stating he is “pissed off” that an NXT superstar currently holds the company’s top title. Nemeth indicated he is prepared to challenge for the championship himself should TNA’s representative fail to win it back at bound For Glory on October 12th.
Nemeth’s frustration stems from the loss of the title by previous champion joe Hendry. “I’ve been pissed off as Joe hendry thought he would just make the rounds and go everywhere and have fun exhibitions as the TNA champion, and then lost the title to an NXT talent who doesn’t even belong in our locker room,” Nemeth explained on TMZ Inside The Ring.
Looking ahead to the Bound For Glory main event, where Mike Santana will challenge current champion Trick Williams, Nemeth issued a warning. ”If Santana can’t come through here, me and Ryan might have to take a little break as a tag team, and then I step in and take that title back, just for TNA, just so we have it,” he declared. “There’s something realy repulsive about it… we really need to have a locker room leader who is the champion and full time at TNA. I’m very serious when I say how pissed off I am about this.”
His brother, ryan Nemeth, suggested a reciprocal outcome could balance the situation. “It might also be fascinating if one of our guys wins an NXT title or WWE title,” he said. “If you’re looking at the balance of the world, that’s bound to happen sometime soon.”
