Quarterback and Offensive Skill Positions Set New Financial Benchmarks
Mahomes usurped Dak Prescott for the honor of highest-paid signal-caller. Prescott had previously held the top spot for nearly two years after signing an extension in September 2024 that pays him $60 million per year. Running back values also saw a significant correction when Saquon Barkley agreed to a two-year, $41 million extension after winning NFL Offensive Player of the Year in his first year with the Philadelphia Eagles.
