Buttes Home Engulfed by Fire, No Injuries Reported
Efficient Firefighter Response Prevents Casualties
A blaze erupted in a residential building on rue des Raies 4 in Buttes on Friday afternoon, prompting a swift response from the SDIS Valtra firefighters. The incident, which occurred around 1:30 p.m., required significant efforts to ventilate the affected floors.
Firefighters Tackle Blaze Efficiently
The Valais Cantonal Firefighters’ Service (SDIS Valtra) teams successfully brought the fire under control. The ground floor and the first floor of the property were thoroughly ventilated as part of the operation. Fortunately, no individuals sustained any injuries during the incident, although material damage was reported.
Investigation Underway for Cause
Following the firefighting efforts, the Cantonal Establishment for Building Insurance (ECAP) dispatched an inspector to the scene to assess the extent of the damage. The precise cause of the fire remains undetermined as investigations are ongoing.
