New Hospital Leadership Appointments: CEO Changes at Centerpoint, Beth Israel, Kaiser Permanente, and Texas Children’s

HCA Midwest Health Appoints New CEO,Leadership Updates Announced Across⁤ Healthcare

Kansas city,MO – HCA Midwest Health⁣ has named Keith Nealy⁣ as its new chief ​executive officer,effective September 5,the association ⁣announced August 21. ​This leadership ‌change ​comes amid a⁢ series of appointments across several healthcare systems.Nealy succeeds⁤ Fredrick ⁤”Fred” Parry,who is retiring after more than 40 years of service. Parry’s tenure included​ meaningful growth and expansion for HCA Midwest⁤ Health, which⁤ operates hospitals including Research Medical Center, Centerpoint​ Medical Center, Overland Park Regional Medical Center, and Lafayette ‍Regional health Center.

“Fred’s leadership has been instrumental in​ the success⁤ of HCA ‍Midwest Health,” said Sam ​Hazen,⁣ president of HCA Healthcare’s midwest Division, in‍ a ⁣statement. “We are grateful for his ‌dedication and ​commitment ⁣to our patients, physicians, ​and employees.”

Elsewhere, Kaiser⁣ Permanente announced August 20 the appointment of Jeff Krawcek, ⁤MD, as executive⁢ vice president and chief executive officer for the KP Medical Foundation, beginning September 10. Krawcek previously​ served‌ as president and executive medical director of the Colorado Permanente Medical Group since 2021, overseeing more than 1,200 doctors, and was instrumental in creating the⁢ KP⁣ Medical Foundation model in⁤ 2022.​ Greg ‌A. Adams,⁣ chair and‌ chief executive officer of Kaiser Permanente, stated, “It is ⁤indeed fitting that his inspired leadership will guide the KP‍ Medical‍ Foundation into ‌the future…Jeff’s‍ collaborative style and ‍his capacity to​ lean in on a⁣ range​ of business‌ topics is one of ‍the ⁣key reasons our model has been ⁣accomplished in Colorado.” Krawcek will ⁣support ambulatory care ⁢services in Colorado and Washington state.

In Texas,Jennifer Pugh has been named the nurse executive of Texas Children’s Hospital’s North Austin ⁢Campus. pugh brings over 15‍ years of experience as a board-certified pediatric nurse​ practitioner and ⁣more than a decade of executive experience,⁤ previously‍ serving as associate chief nursing⁢ officer and executive director at Children’s Hospital Los ‌Angeles. Dr. Jackie Ward,⁤ system chief nurse executive and senior ​vice ‌president at Texas Children’s Hospital,⁢ said ⁣Pugh “is‌ a​ passionate and⁤ highly ‌skilled leader…We are ⁣confident she ⁢will help us⁢ remain at the ⁢forefront⁢ of⁢ nursing excellence in the city of Austin.”
