RENO, Nev.- Teh Nevada Wolf Pack men’s basketball team prepares for a Saturday afternoon matchup against the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, continuing a strong start to the 2025-26 season. Nevada is coming off a dominant performance, shooting 48.9 percent from the field, 42.3 percent from three-point range, and 74.1 percent at the free-throw line in thier most recent game.
The Pack have demonstrated rebounding prowess, securing 32 rebounds - nine on the offensive end – against their opponents. Forward Elijah Price leads the team in rebounding,highlighted by a recent double-double of 17 points and 19 rebounds against Southern Illinois.this performance ranks Price third in the Mountain west Conference and is the fourth-highest single-game rebounding total in Division I this season. It also represents the best single-game rebounding performance by a Nevada player under head coach Steve Alford and the most since Cameron Oliver grabbed 21 boards against UNLV on February 20, 2016.
Alongside Price, guards Tayshawn Comer and Corey Camper Jr. have consistently fueled the Nevada offence, each scoring in double figures in all five games to start the season. Comer has totaled 81 points, averaging 16.2 per game, with 18 assists, 17 rebounds, and six steals. Camper Jr. averages 14.8 points, alongside 21 rebounds, six assists, and seven steals, recently matching his career high of 21 points against Santa Clara on November 15, 2025.
Nevada currently leads the Mountain West Conference in blocks, rebounds, free throws made, and free throw attempts. Elijah Price leads the conference in free throws made (30-for-43) and ranks second in blocks with five, while Joel Armotrading leads the conference with six blocks and is second in rebounding with 31 total.
