Young innovators are making a meaningful impact, with teenagers like Ruby Chitsey and Sri Nihal Tammana being recognized for their impactful community initiatives. Chitsey, a 15-year-old from harrison, Arkansas, founded “Three Wishes for Ruby’s Residents,” a program dedicated to providing essential personal items to nursing home residents who face financial hardships. Meanwhile, 13-year-old Sri Nihal Tammana of Edison, New Jersey, established “Recycle My Battery,” an organization focused on responsibly managing used batteries to prevent environmental contamination through a network of collection points.
The recognition extends beyond young changemakers, as the event also honored Shaye Moss and her mother, Ruby Freeman, two Georgia poll workers whose lives where substantially disrupted by the spread of false accusations regarding election fraud on social media.
