Nelly & Ashanti: ‘We Belong Together’ Renewed for Season 2 – Details

Peacock has renewed its reality series, “Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together,” for a second season, with production scheduled to initiate this month, according to an announcement made on Monday.

The series, which premiered on June 26, 2025, quickly became a standout performer for the streaming service, ranking as its second-highest-reaching unscripted original freshman series. The renewal comes after the eight-episode first season offered viewers an inside glance at the lives of music stars Nelly and Ashanti.

“Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together” chronicles the couple’s journey as they navigate marriage, parenthood, and their respective careers. Nelly and Ashanti wed in 2023 and welcomed their son, KK, in July 2024. The upcoming season will focus on the challenges and rewards of balancing global careers with the demands of raising a young child and maintaining a blended family.

The couple’s relationship has been a public one for two decades. Nelly and Ashanti initially dated beginning in 2003, becoming a prominent celebrity pairing. After a period of separation, they rekindled their romance in 2022.

Both Nelly and Ashanti have established themselves as multi-faceted entertainers. Nelly previously starred in the 2005 film “The Longest Yard” and hosted the BET reality series “Nellyville” from 2014 to 2015. He also competed on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2020.
