FARGO, N.D. – A long-time fixture of local sports broadcasting, Dom Izzo, has been at the helm of sports coverage for WDAY-TV for over a decade.

Izzo currently serves as the sports Director for WDAY-TV, a position he assumed in 2010. His tenure with the station began in 2006, initially as the weekend sports anchor. Throughout his career, he has provided sports news and analysis to viewers across eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota.

WDAY-TV, a Fargo-based station, is affiliated with NBC and ABC, broadcasting on channels 6 and 8 respectively.The station’s coverage area includes cities such as Bismarck, grand Forks, and Moorhead, Minnesota. Izzo’s reports cover a wide range of sporting events, from high school athletics to professional teams like the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Wild.

Prior to joining WDAY-TV, Izzo gained experience in broadcasting through various roles. He is a graduate of North Dakota State University (NDSU) in Fargo, where he studied communications.His work has earned him recognition within the regional broadcasting community, including awards for sports reporting and anchoring.

Izzo’s role extends beyond on-air reporting to include managing the sports department, mentoring aspiring journalists, and contributing to the station’s digital platforms. He is actively involved in community events and frequently participates in local sports-related initiatives.
