BREAKING: South East Melbourne Phoenix Launch Membership Drive Ahead of NBL26 Season Opener

The South East Melbourne Phoenix have officially launched their membership drive for the upcoming NBL26 season, offering fans the chance to secure their spot for the home opener on Saturday, September 20th, at 5:30 PM against the Cairns Taipans at john Cain Arena in Melbourne.

Throughout today, September 11th, Phoenix representatives and personnel will be featured on SEN radio, providing insights and updates. Nathan sobey will appear on SEN Breakfast with kane Cornes and David King at 6:30 AM. New CEO Simon Derrick will be interviewed by Gerard Whateley during the Mornings show at 11:45 AM. Newly appointed assistant coach Adam Gibson will join Dwayne Russell at 2:30 PM, and Head Coach Josh King will conclude the day with an appearance on Andrew Gaze and Andy Maher’s show at 5:05 PM.

The Phoenix, established in 2018, compete in the national Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at John Cain Arena, which has a seating capacity of approximately 10,500 for basketball events. The team is co-owned by Romie Frazer and Craig Hutchison. The NBL26 season marks a significant milestone for the club as they aim to build on previous seasons’ successes and contend for the championship.
