Local artist Phil Ponder is currently at work on a commemorative painting for Vine Street Christian Church’s Bicentennial celebration.
ponder’s artistic journey has seen him involved in several notable projects. In 2022,he shared a unique connection to Queen Elizabeth II,having been invited to one of her wedding events.
More recently, in 2023, one of Ponder’s paintings was adapted for a mural intended to cover damage from the 2020 christmas Day bombing on Nashville’s Second Avenue. Plans for this mural where previewed in 2021.
