Nanooks Beat Seawolves 91‑76, Extend Winning Streak to Four Games

FAIRBANKS – The Nanooks men’s basketball team extended its winning streak over the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves to four games on saturday afternoon,securing a ⁣91-76 win in front of 1,065 fans ‌in the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium to improve to 9-7,4-3 GNAC.

The Nanooks started strong, going up 12-2 in the opening three and a ⁣half minutes with three three-pointers from Mike Miller and another from Davis Crilly. Miller added his ⁤fourth three of the contest a minute later, but the Seawolves narrowed the ‌gap to four points after a Cole‍ Johnson three-pointer made the score 15-11. ⁢Crilly and Tyriq Luke responded with two more three-pointers, increasing the Nanooks’ lead to ‍23-12. Alaska maintained this double-digit advantage for the next nine and a half minutes, with Luke adding ‍two layups. ⁢The Seawolves⁢ reduced the lead to nine with three minutes remaining in the half, bringing Alaska’s ‌advantage to 37-28.
