February 14, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor Sport

Nampa, Idaho – Cesar Correa, a boxer raised in Caldwell, stepped into the professional boxing arena for the first time on February 10th, marking a significant milestone in a career years in the making. The 21-year-aged Correa warmed up for the fight with hand weights at a gym located behind his family home, according to reporting from the Idaho Press.

Correa began boxing at the age of six, dedicating himself to the sport from a young age. His recent debut represents the culmination of years of training and a commitment to a demanding discipline. The bout took place as Correa seeks to establish himself in the professional boxing circuit.

The Nampa area is home to several boxing and martial arts training facilities, including Fighting Chance Training Center, which offers programs in MMA, boxing, Muay Thai, karate, and Jiu-Jitsu. Fighting Chance emphasizes a focused training environment and caters to a wide range of skill levels, from beginners to competitors. The center is currently offering a membership rate of $150 per month.

Another local boxing institution, Challengers Boxing Club, formerly known as Nampa PAL Boxing Club, has a presence in the community. Robert Jimenez III trains at Tomorrow’s Champion, a Nampa gym where, according to reporting from KTVB, the focus extends beyond winning to fulfilling a personal promise.

Details of Correa’s first professional fight, including his opponent and the outcome, have not been widely reported. However, his dedication to the sport and the support of local training facilities like Fighting Chance and Challengers Boxing Club suggest a determined pursuit of a professional boxing career.
